The gospel is the power of God that restores all of life through Jesus' death and resurrection, and it forms the lens through which Christian education is viewed. The gospel is a redirecting power, restorative, and comprehensive in scope, announcing God's reign over his entire creation. To understand Christian education, one must know the Bible as one story and their place in it, recognizing the "already-not yet" time period of the coming kingdom, where the kingdom is already present but not yet fully arrived, giving believers a foretaste of the kingdom to come.
