The Most Worshipful National Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Ancient York Rite Masons Prince Hall Origin- National Compact, U.S.A. is offering the Jefferson D. Tufts, Sr. Scholarship to eligible students at the Grand Masters and National Department Head Workshop and Triennial Session in July. The scholarship provides financial assistance for attendance at a higher institution of learning to high school graduates, regardless of race, religion, creed, or area of study.

To be eligible, applicants must be high school graduates or have a G.E.D., have a cumulative G.P.A of 2.5 or higher, and be accepted as full-time students at a two or four-year accredited college or university. They must also submit a typed essay on the topic "The American Dream" A Reality or Myth?, a recommendation letter, and other required documents.

The application package must include a typed application, essay, short answer questions, recommendation letter, JPG photo, and high school or college transcript. The application must be submitted to the Subordinate Lodge or Chapter by May 31, 2022, and then to the Grand Worthy Matron/Grand Master by June 15, 2022, and finally to the National Chairman by July 1, 2022.

The scholarship committee will evaluate applications based on weighted scoring in areas such as application presentation, essay subject matter, short answer questions, grammar, and recommendation letter. The scholarship will be awarded directly to the recipient's college or university, and the recipient must provide evidence of enrollment before the funds can be awarded.
