Dr. M. Daniel is an Assistant Professor in the Tamil and Research Center at The American College, with a strong academic background in Tamil literature. He holds a Ph.D. in Tamil from Alagappa University, Karaikudi, and has completed various degrees, including B.A., M.A., B.Ed., M.Phil., and a diploma in Malayalam.

He has 5 years of teaching experience at The American College and 4 years of experience as a post-graduate Tamil teacher at Muthiah Alagappa Matriculation Higher Secondary School. His fields of specialization include Modern Literature and Sangam Literature, and he has participated in numerous seminars, conferences, and workshops, presenting papers on various topics related to Tamil literature.

Dr. Daniel has published several research papers and articles in international journals, including "Prapanjan Varalatru Puthinangalil Sathiyam Kuritha Pathivugal" and "Vaanam Vasappadum Puthinathil Samuga Porulatharathill Arasiyal Nilai." He has also participated in international conferences, such as the one on "Samuga Nalilakkathirku Thirukovilkalin Pankalippu" and "Pulampeyar Ilakkiyam Marukkapatta Varalatrin Maru Uyirppu."

In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Daniel has received several awards, including the Karuna Club Award (2012), Kural Neri Kaavalar (2021), Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award (2021), Semmozhi Semmal (2021), Semmozhi Aaivu Sudar (2021), Dr. Ambedkar Award (2021), and Agathiyar Virudhu (2022). He has also been involved in various curricular and extra-curricular activities, including enrichment of campus activities, helping slow learners, and participating in departmental activities.
