Capacity Building Projects aim to remove barriers to learning and increase inclusive opportunities by developing regional implementation teams' capacity to train, coach, and provide technical assistance to school sites. The projects focus on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) implementation, increasing access to digital tools and assistive technologies, and building communication competence for students with complex communication needs. Key aspects include:

UDL implementation as an equity-based, whole system transformation
Utilizing protocols for implementation planning, outcome measurement, and fidelity measurement
Providing initial training and ongoing support for district and site teams
Building capacity for assistive technology (AT) consideration and implementation
Developing regional AT and Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) Specialists
Supporting teams in exploring strategies and tools to meet specific areas of need
* Building team-based decision making and problem solving around supporting student development
