Tampereen yliopistossa järjestetään valmennuskurssi "Datasta oivalluksia ja bisnestä" 5.9.-8.12.2016. Kurssi toteutetaan yhteistyössä COSSin, Tampereen yliopiston ja Laurea-ammattikorkeakoulun kanssa. Kurssille valitaan 6 ICT-yritystä, jotka haluavat päivittää kilpailuetunsa analytiikan ja palvelumuotoilun keinoin. Kurssi sisältää luentoja ja harjoituksia, ja yritykset toteuttavat oman case-projektinsa yhdessä omien asiakkaiden ja kumppanien kanssa. Kurssin työkaluina käytetään mm. Hadoop, Weka, R, MySQL ja CoCoCosmos. Kurssin työmäärä on 28 tuntia analytiikkaa ja 10 tuntia palvelumuotoilua, ja case-osiossa on 48 tuntia ohjausta. Kurssi on maksuton yrityksille, ja ilmoittautuminen tapahtuu verkkolomakkeella.
