Summary

Die Digital Engineering Fakultät der Universität Potsdam hat am 27. November 2019 eine Promotionsordnung erlassen, die auf der Grundlage des Brandenburgischen Hochschulgesetzes und der Grundordnung der Universität Potsdam basiert. Die Ordnung regelt die Verleihung der akademischen Grade Doktor der Naturwissenschaften (Dr. rer. nat.), Doktor der Ingenieurwissenschaften (Dr.-Ing.) und Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). Die Promotion erfolgt aufgrund einer schriftlichen Arbeit (Dissertation) und einer nachfolgenden mündlichen Prüfung (Verteidigung). Der Promotionsausschuss entscheidet über die Zulassung und die Eröffnung von Promotionsverfahren. Die Zulassung setzt einen Hochschulabschluss in einem entsprechenden Fach und eine Betreuungsvereinbarung zwischen Bewerber und Betreuer voraus. Die Betreuer verpflichten sich zur fachlichen Beratung und Unterstützung des Doktoranden. Die Eröffnung des Promotionsverfahrens erfolgt nach Antragstellung und Überprüfung der Voraussetzungen. Die Promotion ist innerhalb von drei Jahren abzuschließen. Die Ordnung trat am 17. Juni 2020 in Kraft.
