Summary

Le Brexit est analysé comme un exemple de tendances populistes motivées par le désir des participants d'occuper et de défendre leurs positions de sujets. Le discours est considéré comme une pratique de subjectivation qui transforme les locuteurs en sujets, leur permettant d'agir comme des "soi transparents" et de se positionner dans le monde social. La théorie non-subjectiviste de la subjectivité de Michel Pêcheux est utilisée pour comprendre comment les individus deviennent des sujets en entrant dans le discours et en occupant une position de sujet dans l'espace social. Les processus entrelacés de subjectivation linguistique et sociale sont examinés pour rendre compte de la dynamique discursive du Brexit. Un modèle de subjectivité discursive est proposé, qui mobilise la linguistique post-benvenistienne de la subjectivité et les approches sociologiques du positionnement des sujets dans un ordre social inégal.
