## Go for Change! Training Modules for Youth Work Developers

What: A two-module training program focused on enhancing the quality of local youth work through participatory action research and strategic planning.

Who: Youth officers, workers, and other stakeholders involved in shaping local youth policies and practices within municipalities.

Why: The European Charter on Local Youth Work emphasizes the need for continuous analysis and reflection to improve youth work outcomes. This training equips participants with tools and knowledge to:

Deepen understanding of the European Charter and its implications for local practice.
Implement participatory action research (PAR) techniques to analyze and reflect on their own youth work contexts.
Develop strategies for enhancing youth work quality, grounded in PAR findings.
Connect with European initiatives and policies relevant to local youth work.

When & Where:

Module 1: 4-7 April 2022 (Kortrijk, Belgium) followed by optional webinars on 28 April, 18 May, and 8 June 2022.
Module 2: 13-16 June 2022 (Kouvola, Finland).

Structure & Methodology:

The training combines:

Peer learning: Participants from diverse European backgrounds share experiences and learn from each other.
Interactive workshops: Facilitated sessions introducing PAR tools and techniques.
Community engagement: Optional individual tasks encourage participants to apply learned concepts within their own communities, fostering experiential learning.
Webinars: Online discussions exploring European policies, instruments, and best practices in youth work.

Target Group:

Youth professionals from municipalities who are not yet actively involved in European networks/projects, prioritizing those from countries where the Europe Goes Local project is implemented (Austria, Belgium-Flanders, Croatia, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark).
