Homework is 20% of the grade, with 100 points per assignment, and is a completion grade where students practice what they learn. Assignments are listed on the monthly calendar on the website, and students are responsible for any changes made in class. Homework is recorded on stamp sheets, which are collected after approximately 10 assignments. Late homework is accepted within 3 days of the original due date, with a maximum of 50 points.

Openers and classwork are 15% of the grade, with 50 points each, and are recorded as a packet. Openers are collected the day they are given, and points are based on correct answers and work. Classwork points are based on correct answers, work, and following directions.

Tests are 65% of the grade, with 2000 points each, and are given about every 2 weeks. The final exam is 4000 points. Students are not allowed to use calculators on every test, and truancy or cutting class results in a 0 on the test with no chance to make up.

Grades are posted online through Aeries, updated 2-3 times per month, and are not rounded. The grade scale is 90-100% for an A, 80-89.9% for a B, 70-79.9% for a C, 60-69.9% for a D, and below 60% for an F.

Extra credit is limited to a maximum of 1%, with no late extra credit accepted. General class rules include no eating or drinking, staying in seat, being respectful, and following the school tardy policy. Students are expected to bring a fully charged device, turn off cell phones, and put away AirPods and headphones.

Communication will be through Remind, email, Google Classroom, AP Classroom, and Delta Math. The website, Hansen.dbhsmath.org or dbhs.org, has calendars, worksheets, opener/classwork recording sheets, and stamp sheets, and students are expected to access it regularly.
