Summary

They say it is love, but it is unwaged work, with every miscarriage being a work accident and neuroses, suicides, and desexualization being occupational diseases of the housewife. Viewing wages for housework as a political perspective rather than just a thing can lead to a revolution in women's lives and social power. Housework is a manipulation and mystified form of violence perpetrated by capitalism, transforming it into a natural attribute of women's physique and personality, making it unwaged and preventing women from struggling against it. Capital has successfully hidden women's work by denying it a wage and transforming it into an act of love, getting a lot of work almost for free and disciplining the male worker by making his woman dependent on his work and wage. The role of women is to be unwaged but happy and loving servants of the working class, servicing the male worker physically, emotionally, and sexually.
