Nitelikli mezun için MYO'larda altyapı, yükseköğretimdenden endüstriye: nitelikli insan gücü çalıştayı kapsamında, 185 üniversitede 970 MYO bulunmakta, özellikle son yıllarda vakıf üniversitelerinde MYO açılma oranında artışlar görülmektedir. Mevcut durum itibariyle, MYO'ların açılmasında artışlar gözlenmekte, ancak teknik ve fiziksel ihtiyaçların karşılanması konusunda aynı kararlılık bulunmamaktadır. MYO gerçeği, beşeri altyapı, teknik altyapı, kurum kaynaklarının dağılımı, finansman kaynakları ve mesleki yükseköğretim kurumlarındaki yönetim organlarından oluşmaktadır. Sorunlar arasında, öğretim elemanı başına düşen öğrenci sayısının fazla olması, öğretim elemanlarının uygulamalı bilgiye sahip olmamaları, MYO'larda teknik/uzman personel eksikliği, öğretim üyesi/öğretim görevlisi oranının düşüklüğü ve öğretim elemanlarının etkinliklere katılımının desteklenmemesi yer almaktadır.
