Summary

The Woodland Trainers Association has two instructor categories: Franchise instructors and In-house instructors. Franchise instructors have taken the train the trainer program, been audited, and can instruct levels 1-3 chainsaw safety programs. In-house instructors have also taken the train the trainer course but are limited to instructing within their organization. The audit process involves sitting through a course, co-teaching a course, and instructing a course with a key trainer present. Registered instructors must meet minimum course requirements and adhere to the code of ethics. Franchise instructors must attend meetings, participate in personal development seminars, and maintain certification. In-house instructors who want to become franchise instructors must meet specific requirements, including an audit, paying yearly dues, and providing proper insurance and equipment.
