This issue of the JRS Express marks a bittersweet moment as the school year draws to a close, saying goodbye to Year 11 students and long-serving staff. Despite these changes, there are many reasons to celebrate:

Revived JRS Picnic: A cherished event that builds school community and culture returned successfully this year.
Academic Achievements: Students excelled in Bronze DofE Awards, Silver DofE awards, mock interviews, and Work Experience placements, demonstrating preparation for their futures.
Student Successes: From sporting victories to artistic achievements and academic accolades, students consistently represented JRS with pride.
New Science Lab: A newly renovated lab, thanks to a generous donation from Peter George, provides an inspiring learning environment.
Form Time Reading: Students explored British and United Nations values, the FIFA Women's World Cup, and staff leaving legacies through engaging reading activities.
Oracy Development: Focus on speaking and listening skills has empowered students in presentations, interviews, and public speaking. A new peer mentoring program, led by Year 9 students, will support incoming Year 7s.
