Summary

The KGMU DSW Scholarship Scheme provides financial assistance to UG, PG, and PhD students for presenting research papers at national and international scientific events. The scheme offers reimbursement for conference registration fees and travel expenses, with a cap of INR 30,000 for national events and INR 100,000 for international ones. Each student can claim this benefit once during their tenure at KGMU.

Annually, there are 22 awards for national presentations and six for international ones. Undergraduates (MBBS and BDS) receive four awards for national conferences, while postgraduates have 13 for national and five for international events across various disciplines. PhD scholars can claim five awards for national and one for international presentations.

Applications must be submitted through the designated form on the KGMU website during specified periods in August and September. Both soft and hard copies are required, with the former emailed to a specific address and the latter delivered to the Dean's office. Applications should include all necessary documents and signatures from the candidate and authors. The selection panel reviews applications, and if approved, travel must be undertaken via the shortest route using specified modes of transport.

The scheme is open for prospective or retrospective applications, but only once per academic tenure. Accepted papers are required for application consideration.
