You will be reinforcing your knowledge today with the help of silent maps of Europe, which you have at the end of your SDZ.
1. The first silent map has the countries drawn on it. You have learned all European countries except those in Eastern Europe. Your task is to write the names of the countries in the correct place. Some countries are very small, so you can write abbreviations or country codes (e.g., SLO for Slovenia). Then, mark the location of the capital cities with a dot and write their names, also using abbreviations if needed (e.g., LJ for Ljubljana).
Use one color for the countries and a different color for the cities, so the map will be readable. Adjust the font size according to the map's size. Create a legend on the side.
2. The second silent map shows the surface of Europe. Write the largest European mountain ranges, lowlands, rivers, seas, bays, straits, and channels on it.
Use a color scale typical for maps: green for lowlands, brown for mountains, and blue for water surfaces. Be mindful of the font size to keep the map readable. Create a legend on the side of this map as well.
Try to do it without the help of an atlas first, and if you get stuck or are unsure, use the atlas for help.
