New Life University is an educational and training organization for Christian counselors, committed to preparing men and women to counsel with biblical excellence, academic professionalism, and spiritual sensitivity. The university's mission is to provide quality training that brings together the best of Biblical counseling and secular education, believing that counseling is the new evangelism. The training is designed to benefit anyone who desires to help others, make a difference in their world, and live out the call of Christ.

The university offers various programs, including certification, licensing, and degree completion, with courses such as Creation Therapy, Basic Counseling, and Christian Psychology and Counseling. The programs are designed to provide credentials that are recognized within the community, and benefits include qualifying for professional liability insurance, networking with other counselors, and earning continuing education credits.

The faculty and staff reserve the right to withhold licensure from students who may lack emotional or spiritual maturity necessary to counsel others safely and effectively. The university's academic year begins on September 1 and consists of three semesters, with students able to enroll in the middle of the academic year. The completed enrollment package must be received at least 15 days before the start of the first semester.

New Life University is a separate organization from Branches Recovery Center, with its own board of directors and operating charter. The university's training results in credentials that are recognized by the community, but the authority and call to Christian service come from the Holy Spirit of God. The university's policies, fees, and requirements are outlined in the catalog, which supersedes all previous publications effective June 1, 2010.
