The College of Communication and Information (CCI) at Florida State University (FSU) has introduced two new courses: Social Media Management and Mobile App Development. The college hosted its 2nd Annual CCI BBQ, which attracted over 250 students, faculty, and parents. CCI also welcomed various clubs and organizations to the Goldstein Library, providing students with opportunities to improve their college experience.

Florida's Board of Governors has approved a new Master's in Information Technology degree, which will be entirely online and open to all majors. The program will enhance students' technology knowledge in areas such as technology and networking, large-scale data management, and leadership and management.

CCI hosted an Alumni Reception in Tampa, connecting with former students and showcasing the college's projects. The college also held a successful Career Day, with over 35 companies in attendance and nearly all planning to return in March.

CCI students have access to a wide variety of Microsoft software and development tools at no charge through the DreamSpark program. The college is also partnering with Brian Koslow, a self-made millionaire and author, to develop a competition called the "Millionaire Game Design Challenge," which will kick off in January.
