Bab II membahas tentang deskripsi tekstural dan struktural pengalaman adaptasi komunikasi individu etnis Papua dengan host culture di Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode fenomenologi untuk menggambarkan pengalaman adaptasi komunikasi antara individu etnis Papua dan host culture. Hasil penelitian ini dideskripsikan secara tekstural dan struktural, dengan fokus pada strategi komunikasi, prasangka, dan kelompok minoritas dalam adaptasi komunikasi. Informan 1, Samuel Pah, seorang laki-laki berumur 21 tahun dari Biak, Papua, berbagi pengalaman adaptasi komunikasinya di Semarang, termasuk strategi komunikasi, perbedaan karakter dengan host culture, dan prasangka yang dialaminya. Samuel menyatakan bahwa keberhasilan adaptasi bergantung pada hubungan timbal balik antara stranger dan host culture, dan ia berusaha untuk bersikap baik dan membantu host culture yang membutuhkan.
