Researchers from Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) in Indonesia developed a Decision Support System (DSS) to aid in the scholarship selection process, comparing the accuracy of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE) algorithms. The study aimed to determine which algorithm is more suitable for UNS's scholarship selection, with AHP yielding a 90% accuracy score in a previous study and PROMETHEE showing 85% accuracy in another. The DSS is needed to overcome the manual selection process's limitations, which often lead to delays and inaccuracies. The researchers created a prototype of the scholarship system (SIBEA) and analyzed the comparison of the two algorithms to determine which one is better suited for UNS.
