Subject: 26606 - Psychology of Development

The subject continues the psychological training of future teachers, focusing on Developmental Psychology for children aged 6-12, examining sensorial, psychomotor, cognitive, linguistic, and socio-personal aspects.

Learning goals:
1. Describe child behavior for the 0-12-year-old age group.
2. Identify different development rates.
3. Predict psychological development.
4. Evaluate the degree of normality or problems during development.
5. Relate how various agents act with the optimization process of development.

Aims of the course:
Enable teachers to recognize student diversity, assess how to work with different students, and understand strategies for working in the classroom.

Competences:
1. Specific skills: identify learning difficulties, know current proposals, and plan the resolution of educational situations.
2. General skills: design and control learning spaces, identify and support students, and commit to motivating academic progress.
3. Transversal skills: understand learning, manage and self-regulate progression, involve students, and work in a team.
