Standard 1 for accreditation of physical therapist education programs requires meeting graduate achievement measures and program outcomes related to its mission and goals. The program must have a written mission compatible with the institution and unit's mission, and contemporary preparation of physical therapists. The program must also have documented goals based on its mission, reflecting contemporary physical therapy education, research, and practice. The program must meet required student achievement measures, including graduation rates of at least 80%, ultimate licensure pass rates of at least 85%, and employment rates of at least 90%, all averaged over two years. Additionally, students must demonstrate entry-level clinical performance during clinical education experiences prior to graduation.
