This Grade 12 Psychology course (40S) explores the complexities of human thought and behavior through a scientific lens. Students will gain lifelong skills in areas like problem-solving, relationship building, conflict resolution, and self-awareness by delving into key psychological concepts and theories.

Course Objectives:

Understand the complexities of human thought and behavior.
Learn about mental processes of oneself and others.
Develop skills for nurturing healthy relationships and solving problems.
Explore inner conflicts and societal issues like discrimination, aggression, and drug dependency.
Broaden understanding of how pop culture, current events, and societal changes impact individuals and groups.

The course covers major topics in psychology through five main blocks:

1. Introduction and Research Methods: Explore the foundations of psychological study and learn about various research methods.
2. Biopsychology: Examine the relationship between biology and behavior, focusing on the brain, senses, emotion, motivation, and personality.
