Ethics includes:

- Codes of ethics for professional engineers and geoscientists in Canada, including core tenets and compliance
- Common ethical issues and dilemmas, such as conflict of interest, whistle blowing, and loyalty to employers

Professional Practice includes:
- Professional accountability for work, workplace issues, and standards of practice
- Role and responsibilities of professionals to employers and clients, including duty, loyalty, confidentiality, and competence
- Conflict of interest, personal interest vs employer's/client's interest, and duty to the public
- Professional environment and development, including recognition of the code of ethics by employers.
