Our Lady & St Patrick's Catholic Primary School will use a £14,120 catch-up premium to reduce the impact of Covid-19 on pupils' learning. The school will provide curriculum resources, support home learning, and focus on mental health and wellbeing. The plan includes a 3-tiered approach: high-quality teaching, targeted academic support, and wider strategies to support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Specific actions include:

Well-sequenced learning schemes to focus on missed objectives
Consolidation of basic skills such as handwriting, spelling, and times tables recall
Additional lesson time on core teaching, including reading, writing, and maths
A focus on early reading and phonics
Careful monitoring of learning gaps and adaptation of teaching accordingly
Support for mental health, wellbeing, and social skills development
* Additional support and focus on basic core skills for some children, including one-to-one and small group tuition.

The school will also use a tiered model, including quality first teaching, a broad and engaging curriculum, and focus on critical aspects of teaching. Technology such as ClassDojo, Tapestry, and Microsoft Teams will be used to support home learning, and regular communication with parents will be maintained to support learning and emotional wellbeing.
