The 4th National Conference with International Participation, "Reengineering Business Processes in Education - RPPO 2017", was held in Čačak, Serbia, from September 29 to October 1, 2017. The conference was organized by the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, with several co-organizers, including regional centers, schools, and professional associations. The main and responsible editor was Prof. Dr. Alempije Veljović, with Dr. Željko M. Papić and Prof. Dr. Biljana Radulović as reviewers. The conference proceedings were published by the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, with a print run of 150 copies.

The conference aimed to analyze and design the flows of processes and tasks within educational institutions. It emphasized the need for a process-oriented reengineering of educational business processes to achieve full integration and improvement. The conference was supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, the University of Kragujevac, and other institutions.

The conference featured introductory presentations on reengineering direct instruction in a hybrid learning system, integrating business communications in higher education institutions using information technologies, and reengineering business processes in practical education within dual education systems. The main theme focused on information technologies in the reengineering of business processes in educational institutions, with presentations on e-learning, artificial intelligence, software tools for electronic learning, FSO system analysis, curriculum development, and methodology for reengineering business processes.
