Graduates are seen as the foundation for building a strong and dynamic workforce, but organizations are looking for a more rounded view of candidates, including their competencies and potential for success. SHL has identified 11 key competencies that lead to success in graduate roles, including taking responsibility, fostering team cohesion, analyzing information, and adapting to change. Analysis of test scores from over 20,000 graduates found that their most common strengths are taking responsibility, coping with setbacks and criticism, and adapting to change, which echo themes of flexibility, adaptability, and resilience.
