Universal On-Site Procedures:

Stay home if sick: Students and staff should self-check for symptoms daily and stay home if experiencing cough, shortness of breath, fever, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, or muscle pain.
Hand Hygiene: Frequent handwashing and use of hand sanitizer is mandatory. Hand sanitizer stations are placed throughout classrooms and hallways.
Social Distancing: Maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet from others whenever possible.
Face Coverings:
Required for staff when social distancing isn't feasible (less than 6 feet apart for 15 minutes or more).
Required for students when outside the classroom. Face shields are provided for preschool-first grade students.
Staggered passing times and monitored flow in hallways to minimize student interaction.
Routine Sanitation: Classrooms, common areas, playgrounds, gyms, bathrooms, and lunchrooms will be cleaned and sanitized daily.
Physical Changes:
Water bottle refilling stations installed instead of individual water fountains.
Sneeze guards in office and lunchroom.
Music Room converted to an isolation room for ill students.
First aid kits supplied to each classroom, thermometers on each floor for teacher use.

Classroom Procedures:

Spaced Desks: Classroom desks arranged to maximize social distancing. Barriers may be used where 6-foot spacing is impossible while seated.
Cohort Groups: Students divided into groups based on grade levels (PreK/Kind, 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, 7th/8th). Preschool is a stand-alone cohort.
Music and P.E.:
Music instruction moved to classrooms with a focus on theory and instruments (sanitized).
Outdoor P.E. whenever possible; indoor sessions follow classroom procedures.

Parent Procedures:

Student Illness: Parents notified immediately if a student becomes ill during the day. Students picked up by parents as soon as possible.
Transportation:
Assigned seating on school buses with family members sitting together.
Face masks or shields encouraged for bus riders.
Bus disinfection after each route.
Reduced bus ridership encouraged through carpooling and a potential shuttle route.
Drop-Off/Pick-Up: Staggered morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures using gym, lunchroom, and outdoor areas to reduce student interaction.

Food Service:

Altered table arrangements for breakfast and lunch to maximize space utilization in the lunchroom.
