Matric learners in South Africa have less than a month before their final exams, with the 2020 Final Grade 12 exams starting on November 5. The eduCate #SavingTheClassOf2020 National Matric Math & Science Revision initiative has been launched to help learners who have struggled to cover the year's curriculum due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The initiative has been oversubscribed, with 17 cinema complexes hosting thousands of learners for weekly revision sessions. New platforms, including online, television, and WhatsApp, will be launched to extend the reach of the revision content, making it available to matriculants across the country for free. Various sponsors, including Sanlam, Sasria, and Liberty, have supported the initiative, which aims to help 20,000 learners achieve their educational outcomes.
