Syllabus Of Computer Science & Engineering.pdf

H.P. Technical University, Hamirpur, has a syllabus for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, effective from the 2012-13 session. The course is divided into eight semesters.

The first semester includes subjects like Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Physics, Engineering Chemistry, Communication and Professional Skills in English, Basic Mechanical Engineering, and Principles of Computer Programming & C++.

The second semester includes subjects like Engineering Mathematics-II, Engineering Physics-II, Disaster Management and Environmental Science, Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Engineering Drawing and Graphics, and Engineering Mechanics.

The third semester includes subjects like Engineering Economics, Data Structures and Algorithms, Computer Organization and Architecture, Internet Fundamentals, Digital Electronics, and Discrete Mathematics and Logic Design.

The fourth semester includes subjects like Human Values and Professional Ethics, Numerical Methods for Engineering, System Software, Theory of Computation, Internet Technology, and Computer Graphics.

The fifth semester includes subjects like Principles of Management and Critical Thinking, Operating Systems, Modeling and Simulation, Analysis and Design of Algorithms, Computer Networks, and Microprocessor Theory and Applications.

The sixth semester includes subjects like Open Elective, Database Management System, Compiler Design, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Information Storage Management.

The seventh semester includes subjects like Elective-I, Advanced Computer Architecture, Web Technology, Wireless Communication and Mobile Computing, Soft Computing, and Industrial Training Viva.

The eighth semester includes subjects like Elective-II, Information System Security, Data Mining and Data Warehousing, Fundamentals of Cloud Computing, and Project-II.

There are also elective subjects available for students to choose from, including Multimedia Technology, Management Information System, Digital Image Processing, E-Commerce and ERP, Internet and Internet Technology, and Advanced Computer Networks.

Industrial training of 8 weeks duration is compulsory after the sixth semester, and field visits are compulsory for all students in the second year and seventh semester. A survey camp of minimum four weeks duration is compulsory for Civil Engineering students after the fourth semester.
