- Ensure all learners can access materials and environment: Consider accessibility in materials and environment. Follow POUR principles (Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, Robust). Ask: "Have I considered accessibility?" and "Is my learning experience inclusive?"
- Make learning personally relevant: Connect goals to real-world applications and community. Ask: "Is the goal important or interesting to learners?" and "Are there real-world application opportunities?"
- Promote expert learning: Foster purposeful, motivated, resourceful, and strategic learners. Encourage personal connections, understandings, collaboration, and resource use. Ask: "Are learners gaining disciplinary skills and habits of mind?" and "Have I encouraged robust learning pathways?
