Summary

A standard game of Ultimate has 14 players, 7 per team. A team scores by catching the disc in the end zone. Possession is maintained by passing without the disc touching the ground or being intercepted. Players cannot run with the disc and must establish a pivot foot after catching. Ultimate is a non-contact sport. Each point starts with a pull from one team to the other. Teams change direction at half time. Unlimited substitutions are allowed after goals or due to injury. Teams signal readiness by the defensive player holding the disc above their head and the offense raising a hand. If the pull goes out of bounds, the disc is brought into play where it crossed the sideline or a 'Brick' is called.
