Project WIN, a conflict resolution program, was implemented in a low-income, urban middle school in southeast Pennsylvania. The program aimed to reduce school violence by fostering cooperation and compassion. Results showed a decrease in reported violence and an increase in students' ability to apply conflict resolution tools. Students learned to transform competitive situations into cooperative ones, with greater competence in conflict-with-a-friend situations.
