东日本大震灾发生十年后，福岛县 いわき市薄磯地区的“いわき震灾传承未来馆”举办了震灾故事讲述会，大谷庆一（72岁）讲述了自己的故事。薄磯地区曾遭受过8米以上的巨大海啸，导致111人遇难。大谷庆一在海啸来临时，背着邻居的老太太逃跑，但在途中老太太摔倒了，他将老太太丢下继续逃跑。事后，他对自己的行为感到十分痛苦和愧疚。现在，他希望通过讲述自己的故事，传达震灾的记忆和教训。
