The Mammoth Lakes Trails and Public Access Foundation (MLTPA) submitted amended comments on the proposed Snowcreek Master Plan and Environmental Impact Report to the Town Council of Mammoth Lakes. The comments, developed in consensus with Charles Lande of Chadmar, address procedural and technical concerns while maintaining the spirit and intent of MLTPA's earlier comments. The amended comments include conditions for public access, trails, and connections to National Forest lands, such as year-round public access to National Forest lands, extension of the Sherwin Trail, and provision of public access points and connections to USFS lands. The conditions also include requirements for irrevocable offers of dedication or easement, winter public access, and public access on multi-use paths and pedestrian paths. Additionally, the comments recommend revisions to figures and tables in the Master Plan to ensure consistency with the proposed conditions.
