Summary

Der Gesetzentwurf zur Beschleunigung des Einsatzes verflüssigten Erdgases (LNG-Beschleunigungsgesetz – LNGG) soll die Zulassung von LNG-Anlagen und die Vergabe öffentlicher Aufträge beschleunigen, um die nationale Energieversorgung zu sichern. Aufgrund des Angriffskriegs Russlands gegen die Ukraine und der Abhängigkeit von russischen Gaslieferungen soll der Ausbau der LNG-Importinfrastruktur beschleunigt werden. Das Gesetz ermöglicht vorübergehend den Verzicht auf bestimmte Verfahrensanforderungen, wie die Umweltverträglichkeitsprüfung, und sieht eine Befristung der Genehmigungen für LNG-Anlagen bis 2043 vor. Ziel ist es, die Versorgungssicherheit in Deutschland und Europa zu gewährleisten.
