板東敬治が伝える市政報告 2008年2月1日号：寝屋川市・枚方市・交野市・四條畷市の4市で進めているリサイクルプラザ「かざぐるま」が完成し、視察を行った。同施設はゴミとして排出されたペットボトルとプラスティック製容器包装を資源として利用するために種類別に選別し、圧縮梱包する役割を持っている。悪臭対策や排出空気の24時間測定、地球環境問題などを学習できる啓発フロアを併設している。寝屋川市では、ペットボトルとプラスティック製容器包装のゴミ出しが一緒にできるようになり、代わって古紙と古布の分別収集に取り組む予定である。総合計画推進の実施計画（案）が提示され、新たなメニューとして「第4期ねやがわ男女共同参画プラン」の策定や「食育推進基本計画」の策定などが行われる。京阪高架事業が第2ステージへ進み、都市計画決定を目指すことになる。民営化予定保育園の状況を確認し、保護者・民間事業者・こども室の3者による懇談会が予定されている。寝屋川市の民話も紹介されている。
