Badminton Competition
1. Date: November 11 (Sat) and 12 (Sun), 2023, Start time: 13:00 (11th), 9:00 (12th)
2. Venue: Isahaya City Central Gymnasium Main Arena and Sub Arena
3. Competition categories and entry
- Men's and women's general, adult categories with 6-9 players and 1 supervisor
- Supervisor can also be a player, but players cannot participate in multiple categories
4. Competition rules and methods
- Based on 2023 Japan Badminton Association rules
- Team competition with 3 players, league and tournament format
- No 3rd place match
5. Team formation
- General categories: 3 players, no age limit
- Adult categories: 3 players, 1 from each age group (30s, 40s, 50s)
6. District preliminary rounds
- Each district to hold preliminary rounds to determine participating players
7. Participation qualifications
- Based on tournament rules, excluding middle and high school students
- Registered with Japan Badminton Association for 2023
8. Scoring method
- Points awarded to each category: 1st place 17 points, 2nd place 16 points, etc.
- Average points for 3rd, 4th, 5th-8th places
9. Awards
- Category awards: 1st-3rd place certificates
- Overall awards: 1st place trophy and certificate, 2nd-3rd place certificates
10. Participation notes
- Wear Japan Badminton Association recommended attire
- Display district name on back of uniform
- Follow rules for player changes and registration
