Summary

AFS 1997:7 är Arbetarskyddsstyrelsens föreskrifter om gaser, som gäller all verksamhet där gas hanteras. Föreskrifterna innehåller bestämmelser om riskbedömning, hantering av gas, behållare, rörledningar och annan utrustning, fyllning och tömning, lagring och förvaring, samt krav på utbildning och kompetens för den som hanterar gas. Syftet är att säkerställa en betryggande säkerhet vid hantering av gas. Föreskrifterna trädde i kraft den 1 januari 1998 och har senare ändrats genom AFS 2017:5, som trädde i kraft den 1 december 2017.
