The IOM Scout Association's Awards Nomination Process is outlined as follows:

Awards:
- Length of Service Awards: Recognize service at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70-year intervals, produced automatically by UK Headquarters.
- Good Service Awards: Include the Chief Scout's Commendation for Good Service, Award for Merit, Bar to the Award for Merit, Silver Acorn, and higher awards.

Isle of Man Process for Awards:
- Nominations should be submitted to the Awards Group (Bev Hewson, Steve White, Gordon Gledhill, Colin Brew) with a citation detailing the nominee's role and achievements.
- The Island Commissioner approves awards up to the Silver Acorn, while the National Awards Advisory Group approves higher awards and special awards like the Cornwell Scout Badge and Chief Scout's Personal Award.
- Award decision submission deadlines are 31 March, 30 June, 30 September, and 31 December, with approved awards sent to the Island Commissioner two months later.

Nomination Criteria:
- All Good Service award nominees must hold a relevant volunteer appointment, have sufficient service, a valid disclosure, not received an award in the last five years, not already have the award, completed relevant training, and have the correct previous Good Service award (if applicable).
- Specific service durations apply for each award:
- Lower Good Service Awards: Chief Scout's Commendation (5 years), Award for Merit (10-12 years), Bar to Award for Merit (5 years after Award for Merit), Silver Acorn (20 years).
- Higher Good Service Awards: Bar to Silver Acorn (5 years after Silver Acorn), Silver Wolf (exceptional service, typically after 30 years).
