The Inter Islamic Network on Space Sciences and Technology (ISNET) is an inter-governmental agency established in 1987 under the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to promote cooperation in space science and technology among OIC member states. ISNET has 17 member states and is hosted by the Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO). The network aims to bridge the gap between Muslim and developed countries by harnessing the potential of space science and technology. ISNET conducts technical projects and research studies, provides training and financial assistance, and offers opportunities for joint research projects and short-term training courses. The network has become a permanent observer of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS) and the Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organisation (APSCO). ISNET's objectives include collaborating with OIC member states in the peaceful uses of outer space, exchanging information and experiences, and initiating joint projects in space sciences and technology.
