Summary

L'année 2020 a été difficile pour la majorité de la population, en particulier pour les personnes déjà exclues, qui ont subi de manière disproportionnée les répercussions de la pandémie. Cependant, les groupes marginalisés et les organisations de la société civile ont agi rapidement pour répondre aux besoins urgents et continuer à défendre leurs droits. Malgré les réactions hostiles, des progrès ont été réalisés, tels que la dépénalisation de l'homosexualité au Bhoutan et au Gabon, la légalisation du mariage entre personnes de même sexe au Costa Rica, et la légalisation de l'avortement en Argentine et en Nouvelle-Zélande. Cependant, il reste encore beaucoup à faire pour lutter contre la violence fondée sur le genre, l'homophobie et la xénophobie. La société civile devra continuer à s'engager dans le combat perpétuel pour défendre les droits humains et promouvoir la justice sociale.
