The Kaiser Health Tracking Poll from February 2011 shows that views on health reform remain divided, with 41% having a favorable opinion and 40% having an unfavorable opinion. There is a wide partisan divide, with 72% of Democrats having a favorable opinion, compared to 36% of independents and 23% of Republicans.

When asked what Congress should do with the health care law, 32% want to expand it, 20% want to keep it as is, 43% want to repeal and replace it, and 4% want to repeal it without replacing it.

A majority (61%) disapprove of cutting off funding as a way to stop the health reform law, with 51% saying it's because the appropriate way to stop a law is by voting to repeal it, and 47% saying it's because the law will be crippled without full funding.

Most people want to keep major elements of the law, such as tax credits to small businesses (83%), gradually closing the Medicare "doughnut hole" (75%), and financial help for low- and moderate-income Americans (72%). However, a majority (60%) want to repeal the individual mandate.
