Christians would not vote because Christ understands the origin of the governments of this world and who is behind them. The governments of men come from Satan, who is behind them. Christ's gospel is about government, and He would not participate in the politics of this world. The Bible does not teach Christians to vote to select leaders in national governments or in the selection of church leaders.

Democracy is considered the best form of government among mankind's governments, but it is still a humanly devised government that does not work well or for long. It attempts to insure more individual freedoms than other forms of government, but it is still subject to the same problems as other governments.

The average lifespan of a democratic society is short, typically lasting only 200 years before it declines and collapses. This is due to the moral decay that occurs as a result of the selfishness and complacency of its citizens. The Bible teaches that righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.

The quotes from well-known American patriots, such as Alexander Tyler and George Washington, demonstrate the short-lived nature of democracies and the importance of virtue and morality in the people for a government to be secure. Without virtue, no form of government can render a people secure, and the people are in a wretched situation.

The Bible teaches that God is calling people who are citizens of many different nations on earth, and most who are called in this age are privileged to live under the freedoms of a democracy. However, Christians should not participate in the politics of their country, as it is not God's way.
