Olivia Golden, executive director of The Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP), welcomes attendees to the annual forum on investing in young men of color as community assets. The event, entitled "The Role of Public Policy, Youth Voice, and Solution-Centered Strategies," has drawn around 700 registrants and over 100 in-person attendees. Golden thanks the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Forward Promise Initiative for their support and acknowledges the work of CLASP's youth team and communications team. She explains that CLASP's focus on boys and young men of color is crucial due to the barriers they face in the justice system, education, and health services, and that addressing these barriers is essential for reducing poverty and promoting racial equity. Golden introduces Rhonda Bryant, founder of the Moriah Group, as the moderator of the panel, which will discuss practical solutions across education, employment, health outcomes, and policy implementation to support young men of color. Bryant emphasizes the importance of collective effort and targeted investment to support these young people and realize their value to the nation.
