The meeting was called due to the collapse of an addition to the main building, caused by the weight of snow on the roof. City Engineer Michael Lamoreaux evaluated the building and determined that the addition needs to be demolished, but the main building is not in danger of collapse. However, Code Enforcement Officer David Rivera stated that the structure poses an emergency and imminent danger to adjacent occupied residential properties and should be considered an emergency situation. The Council made a motion to demolish the addition as an emergency action, which was carried with 8 AYE votes and 1 ABSENT. The meeting was adjourned at 4:37 p.m.
