Poultry farmers in Vietnam's Southeast region and Dong Nai Province are considering suing the US for dumping cheap chicken legs in the Vietnamese market, citing a significant price disparity between US and Vietnamese markets. The farmers have submitted documents to the Prime Minister and relevant ministries to call for an investigation into dumping and an audit of the quality and origin of imported chicken products. The price of chicken legs in the US is around $80,000 VND per kg, while in Vietnam it is only $20,000 VND per kg. The General Customs Administration reported a sudden increase in imported chicken meat, with the US accounting for 60% of the imports.

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) took over Global Petrol Bank (GP Bank) on July 7, 2015, after the bank failed to meet legal capital requirements. The SBV acquired all equities of GP Bank at zero VND per share, converting it into a one-member limited liability company. The Agency for Information Security has proposed limits on the number of text messages (SMS) that mobile phone users can send, aiming to stop SMS spammers. The proposed limits include a maximum of five text messages in five minutes, 20 SMSs in an hour, and 50 text messages a day. Subscribers who exceed these limits without registering with their mobile carriers may have their service suspended.
