Summary

Workers in construction should maintain 2m social distancing, or 1m with risk mitigation, and follow national guidance. They should work from home if possible, but if not, their workplace should be Covid-19 secure. Face coverings should be worn in enclosed spaces, where social distancing isn't possible, and when meeting others. Workers with symptoms or who have been in contact with someone with Covid-19 should self-isolate and not come to site. If a worker falls ill on site, they should inform their manager, return home, and get a Covid-19 test, following stay-at-home guidance until they receive a negative result or complete self-isolation. Sites with multiple confirmed cases should contact their local Public Health England protection team.
