Summary

A module can only be applied for within the appropriate modularised programme. To determine which modules are available, please consult the DFG's programme guidelines relevant to your proposal.

Objective: Use this module to request funds for workshops and colloquia to be conducted as part of a project.

Description: Workshops facilitate project-related exchange with other researchers and experts. They may also be used to introduce researchers in early career phases to the topic of the project. Workshops may be held for both or either of these two reasons.

Workshops may also be used to conduct workshops for early career investigators and project academies.

The module can be used to apply for an allowance to help cover the total costs of the workshop. These may include travel and maintenance for the participants as well as organisational expenses. Honoraria may be included if the speaker participates not to further his/her own career or research but, for instance, to help train researchers in early career phases.

State and justify the requested funding amount. If a workshop is specifically conducted to introduce researchers in early career phases to the topic of the project, explain the workshop design and describe how participants will be selected.
