The Northern Ireland Children and Young People's Plan 2014-17 is a multiagency strategic partnership aimed at improving outcomes for children and young people in Northern Ireland. The plan is developed and supported by the Health and Social Care Board (HSCB) and is a modification of the original 2011-2014 plan. The plan's purpose is to develop and maintain integrated planning and commissioning across agencies and sectors to improve wellbeing and realize the rights of children in NI, focusing on six outcomes: being healthy, enjoying and achieving, living in safety and stability, experiencing economic and environmental wellbeing, contributing positively to community and society, and living in a society that respects their rights. The plan also ensures participation and involvement of children, young people, families, and communities in the planning process. A multi-agency Outcomes Based Accountability information system has been developed to support outcomes-based planning, providing information management and support to working groups, measuring outcomes, and identifying issues to be addressed.
