Summary

Representatives of the Guarantors of the Peace, Security and Cooperation Framework for the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the region met on 6 February 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. They reviewed developments in the Great Lakes region and assessed progress in implementing the 9th Regional Oversight Mechanism Summit decisions. The meeting expressed concern over armed groups' activities, welcomed efforts to strengthen mechanisms to address negative forces, and commended progress in repatriating disarmed combatants.
